Does ICDx use apt-get or yum to update?
Do I have to manually download packages to upgrade ICDx?
As of ICDx version 1.2, the installation of the product integrates all ICDx packages with the package manager of the Linux distribution in use. Standard upgrade procedures for Ubuntu and RHEL packages apply; users must have sudo privileges.
Upgrade for Ubuntu Server:
Type sudo apt-get update at a command prompt, and let the OS process.
Type sudo apt-get upgrade. Answer Y when apt-get asks "Are you sure?"
The operating system will download and install the packages to update the components needed for ICDx as well as Ubuntu Server.
Upgrade for RedHat Enterprise Linux:
Type sudo yum update at a command prompt.
Answer Y when needed.
