Issue/Introduction

Windows 2008 R2 servers may hang periodically, and the event viewer shows timeout errors related to SepMasterService leading up to the hang.

Event Viewer:
Event ID 7011: A timeout (30000 milliseconds) was reached while waiting for a transaction response from the SepMasterService service

Environment

Windows 2008 R2
SEP 14.0 RU1 MP1, 14.0 RU1 MP2, and 14.2 RTM

Cause

Deadlock in Auto-protect.

Resolution
