I noticed that when I run any of the AD Import rules, they finish almost immediately. No errors are shown in the NS logs or in the actual AD Import page. When I run a Scheduled Task, it finishes almost immediately as well. The NS logs don't show an error but I see messages saying:
Even though the Altiris Services are running as well, Task Scheduler Service and the Notification Server don't say that the activities are paused and the tasks don't run. When I run any of the Scheduled Tasks, it changes the "Last Run Time" but actually those didn't run the all. If I create a new task manually, it runs just fine.
Unknown. In this case, after the user ran an update installation earlier in the day for one of the Solutions (in this case it was Altiris Asset Contract Report Pack), some of the registry keys changed their default values.
There are three registry keys that need to be checked. Those registry keys are
These Regkeys are located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Altiris\eXpress\Notification Server. If any of those has a value of 1, change it back to 0. This should unpause TaskManager and allow to run the Scheduled Tasks properly or run the AD Import properly in this case.
