Unable to delete inactive credentials or token IDs from VIP Manager
Last Updated March 12, 2019
Administrators are unable to delete or purge credential or token IDs
This is working as designed. VIP credential/token IDs can be in one of many states.
What are the credential states?
New: The credential has not been registered in your organization, but may be in use at other VIP member organizations. Enabled: The credential has been registered at one or more VIP member organizations and is available for validation. Disabled: The credential has been registered at one or more VIP member organizations but is currently unavailable for validation at your organization. You can still assign temporary security codes to a credential that has been disabled. Inactive: The credential has been registered at one or more VIP member organizations, but is currently unavailable for validation at your organization. You cannot assign temporary security codes to a credential that has been made inactive. Locked: The credential is currently unavailable for validation. This state is set automatically by the system, based on account validation settings. Temp Locked: Indicates multiple PUSH notifications were not accepted on the device and the PUSH feature is disabled for 30 minutes to prevent misuse.
Credential/token IDs are associated with authentication/verification activity on the account they are activated on. Audit regulations require credentials and transactions to be maintained. Deleting or purging an ID would cause disassociation of those transactions, and is therefore not currently an option in VIP.
An enhancement request to Purge or delete inactive VIP tokens has been submitted to product management for consideration into a future product. Follow this article for future updates.
