VIP EG | Upgrade from 9.3.x to 9.4 fails without an error message and shows old version number in the Version.txt, liveupdate.liv files and VIP Console.

After upgrade is made from EG 9.3.x to 9.4 via live update, upgrade logs at vipegconsole.log indicates that the upgrade was successful.
However, the Version.txt, liveupdate.liv files and VIP Console are showing old version number 9.3.x.
From the logs it appears that customer have tried to login to the vipeg console before the upgrade process has been completed.
You can see the progress of the upgrade by refreshing the page. Normally upgrade takes couple minutes to initiate the process, till that time you will be seeing the login page. This is known issue in 9.3 and is fixed in EG 9.4
Customers who have experienced the issue, please follow below steps to resolve it::
Stop the VIP EG service from the services panel.
Stop and Delete the “Symantec VIP EGW Liveupdate Service “ from the services panel, if it exists. (Through CMD prompt execute “sc delete vipegLiveUpdateService” ).
Delete the Jetty contents (jetty-0.0.0.0-8232-vipconsole.war-_vipegconsole-any-…) from “<InstallDir>\VIP_Enterprise_Gateway\server\work” Directory.
Start the VIP EG Service from the services panel.
Now you will see the latest Version number 9.4.x in the Version.txt, liveupdate.liv files and VIP Console.
