When I replace tokens in a Unicode text file (for example a regedit 5.0 reg file), the output file is empty.
Token replacement does not support Unicode character encoding text files.
Deployment Server Token replacement feature does not support Unicode format files, and this is working as designed.
For a workaround, you can use a self developed command line tool to replace tokens. Yet, this is not really practical because it doesn't use the "Custom Data Sources" data to connect to the database.
Applies To Deployment Solution 6.5 (up to 6.8 SP2) Unicode text file (sysprep.inf for example)
