When the server stops processing jobs and communicating with clients, what is the best practice to recover?

After upgrading Deployment Solution from 6.8, there is a known problem with the older AClient sending the engine requests and degrading the performance of the server. What are the best practices to resolve this issue?
This version of the AClient makes unnecessary requests of the engine, which can degrade performance of the server significantly.
Stop the Deployment Server service.
Delete any auto-upgrade AClient jobs.
Use the Remote Agent Installer to push the new AClient to your client computers.
Restart the Deployment Server service.
Applies To Upgrading to any version of Deployment Solution from version 6.8.206.
