KNOWN ISSUE: "Invalid login. Please try again." appears with AD authentication when user belongs only to Domain Users group.

It is not possible to authenticate during an attempted Remote Control session if the host configuration policy specifies only the Domain Users group.
For example: If the Authentication tab of an active pcAnywhere Solution host configuration policy specifies only the following:
Authentication type: "Active Directory" Active users or groups: "<DOMAINNAME>\Domain Users"
then after providing values for the User name, Password, Domain, and clicking OK, the follow error appears:
"Invalid login. Please try again."
This is a known issue with pcAnywhere Solution 12.5.
This issue is under investigation by Symantec.
The following work-around exists:
In Active Directory Users and Computers, create a domain security group dedicated to the purpose of controlling which domain users are allowed to initiate Remote Control sessions. For example, call the group "pcA Admins".
Add the Active Directory users to a domain security group (such as "pcA Admins").
Under the Authentication tab of the pcAnywhere Solution host configuration policy, select Authentication type "Active Directory". Add the dedicated Active Directory security group (for example, the "pcA Admins" group created in Step 1), and click Save Changes.
Ensure that the policy is refreshed on managed client computers prior to initiating a Remote Control session.
