Error "Could not mount WIM file" when creating an ISO image boot disk
Last Updated October 13, 2009
While attempting to create an ISO image boot disk you receive the following error message:
"Could not mount WIM file."
This can be caused by a lack of disk space on the drive that housed the %temp% directory. The boot disk creator will use %temp%\~bootwiz\<number>\ as a working directory when creating a boot disk image and there was not enough room to create the image.
Free up some disk space on the drive were temp is located or change the users %temp% directory to a drive that has enough disk space.
