At the end of an imaging job you receive the status of Incorrect Function or Error 1 during script execution. This issue only occurs when the Prepare with Sysprep option is enabled.
The current possible cause for this issue is the implementation of a Cisco WAAS switch being added to the network. Because of the network compression created by the switch it causes sporadic issues with DS jobs.
For this particular issue we had to create a work around to deliver the Sysprep.inf file to the machines.
We disabled the option within the distribute disk image job for the Sysprep and then added a run script task after the imaging job to firm copy down their specific sysprep.inf file. We used token replacement within the job to get the proper name in the sysprep.inf file.
REM Token Replacement Task for Sysprep.inf file REM ReplaceTokens .\sysprep\sysprep.inf .\temp\%ID%.inf .\rdeploy\windows\Firm Copy .\temp\%ID%.inf PROD:\sysprep\sysprep.inf
