Known Issue: Altiris Agent icon may not appear in the system tray

When you install the Altiris Agent, you can choose to display the Altiris Agent icon in the system tray on the client computer. To do this, in the Altiris Agent Install page, click
Installation Options and then enable the
Show the Altiris Icon in the System Tray setting.
However, on Windows 7 computers, the Altiris Agent icon does not appear in the system tray.
To display the Altiris Agent icon, you need to open the
Notification Area Icon dialog and set the Agent icon behavior to
Show Icon and Notification.
Note that the Show the Altiris Icon in the System Tray setting must be enabled in the installation options on the Altiris Agent Install page. If this option is not enabled when you roll out the Altiris Agent, there is no way that you can display the Altiris Agent icon in the system tray on the client computer.
