When working within the NS console, I sometimes gets a warning message, "Error receiving a message: 'MessagingCtrl_receiveEventArray' is undefined (-2146823279)."
This error may eventually be followed by a box containing the error: An error occurred constructing the tree from the XML provided by the server. Necessary object (-2146827864)
1. This issue is caused when a second item within an NS console is accessed before the previous item has finished processing.
2. There was a blocking program used by the IPS (Internet Service Provider) that was blocking Java script files if they contained code that was classified as a potential attack (as per the filter's rules). This issue is currently being investigated for SP3. The message has no effect on the functionality of the Notification Server or the console and is merely a warning.
The error in question (FFFFFFFF800A1391 converted to hex) is a Microsoft error, and there may not be much that can actually be done about the message. It occurs because one process gets preempted by another during the handling of ASP.NET pages. Again, it does not affect the Notification Server console or its performance in any way.
2. Determin if a blocking program is in place on the network and determine if it is actively blocking Java scripts. If so then make an exception for js files you would find on the NS in ".\Program Files\Altiris\Notification Server\Includes
