Issue/Introduction

The Control Center's Dashboard shows inaccurate or missing data for the past hour or 24 hours. You seek to refresh the data manually.

Symptoms
The Dashboard graph is missing data for a certain period or contains no data.

  • The graph may display different information for different date spans
  • Some reports may also be out of date.
  • In the BrightmailLog.log file, the following error may appear:

    ERROR - Cannot obtain data blob.

Resolution

For Messaging Gateway versions 10.7.0 through 10.7.3, this issue was corrected in version 10.7.4 and newer.

Please upgrade to 10.7.4 or newer to resolve this issue.

 

For other versions, the issue may be due to Control Center/Scanner communications. Workaround:

  1. At the Command Line Interface (CLI) of the Control Center appliance, restart the Control Center service
  2. At the CLI of each scanner, restart the agent service.


To restart the Control Center service

  1. Log in to the Control Center appliance CLI with the admin account
  2. Type: service ControlCenter restart



To restart the agent service

  1. Log in to the Scanner appliance CLI with the admin account
  2. Type: service agent restart
  3. Repeat steps 1-2 for each scanner whose data appears incorrect within the Control Center interface.
