Uninstalling the Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) client through Add or Remove Programs fails to remove the Teefer2 miniport (teefer2miniport).
Uninstalling the SEP client using CleanWipe does not remove (or fully remove) the Teefer2 miniport.
Manual removal process does not remove the Teefer2 miniport.
Installing SEP client with only the Network Threat Protection (NTP) feature and then uninstalling the SEP client does not remove the Teefer2 miniport.
Note: Download the latest Network Interface Card (NIC) drivers for your computer before you begin.
Click Start > Run.
Type regedit and click OK.
WARNING: In the next steps you edit the Windows registry. Back up the registry before you make any changes to it, because incorrect changes to the registry can result in permanent data loss or corrupted files. Modify or delete only the registry keys that are specified. For instructions, see How to back up the Windows registry.
Navigate to HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network\.
Delete the REG_BINARY value Config.
Uninstall the driver for the network adapter; it may fail, but it will remove them from the list of adapters.
Restart the computer.
After restarting, the operating system should automatically detect the NIC; if not, then manually reinstall the NIC driver.
