When running a report in Symantec Messaging Gateway (SMG) you see an error message: "No data is available for the report type and time range specified".
SMG does not store report data in the default configuration.
Enable tracking using the following steps.:
Select the Administration tab.
Select Reports under Settings in the left-hand column.
Select the report data you wish to track in the Email Reports Data box.
Optionally, select the length of time after which the report data will be deleted.
The SMG will begin to store the specified report data from the current date and time forward. The no data error message will continue to appear until a time range is selected after the period data tracking was enabled.
The no data error message may also occur for any data range which has been expunged from the database.
If the database has become corrupt or otherwise has an issue which would affect the collection of the data, this error may also occur.
