You update the certificate on a server that is a replication partner of another server. When you replicate the site, you see the message, "The local site does not have the information for the remote site. Please synchronize the local site's data with its partners first."
Symantec is investigating this problem in order to determine a solution. This document will be updated when new information or a solution becomes available.
To work around this problem
Update the first Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager with the new certificate.
Restart the Manager. This allows the certificate to take effect.
In the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager Console that you updated, remove all replication partners from the site.
Re-create the replication partnerships within the Console.
