Installing the SEP Client to a 64-bit machine productes an error "Cannot find the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccL60U8.dll" after first reboot. The error shows up when attempting to open the SEP GUI.
Error displayed: "Cannot find the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccL60U8.dll"
Follow the steps below to work around this issue:
Uninstall Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) from the 64-bit computer and then restart.
Open the SEP 11.0 media in the SEPWin64 folder.
Right-click the installer (Setup.exe) file and select run as administrator.
Follow the steps in the installation wizard to install the SEP client.
Note: After the first reboot, if the issue still persists, you may be able to copy the missing ccL60U8.dll file from C:\Program Files (X86)\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ and then paste them to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared
